HISTORY
Earley Learning Systems, Inc., a family owned and operated
company, has been representing publishers of instructional
materials for 30 years. In 1975, Jim worked selling educational
materials in the Westchester, NY area. In 1978, Jim, Corrine,
and their boys moved to South Florida. He worked from a
small desk in their bedroom and stored materials in a closet
underneath the stairs, while Corrine was a Middle School
math teacher. In 1983, she joined her husband in the business.
The same year, the company was incorporated. Jim got the
idea of the name from a reading program he used when he
was a teacher.
In
1995, Jim and Corrine's son Ramana joined them as an apprentice.
From answering phones to doing payroll, Ramana took care
of the office. In 2000, he became a sales representative,
but is still an integral part of the business.
After
attending college, Jim and Corrine's son Gabriel joined
the family business as a sales representative in 1997. Jim's
brother Brian also became a part of the team at that time.
In
early 1999, the Earley's were able to lease 1,200 square
feet of real office space on Wiles Road in Coral Springs.
It was a dream come true.
In
2002, Christina Lemke joined the ELS team to become the
private school representative and educational consultant.
2004
was a year of growth and changes for ELS and the Earley
family. Martha Genao became the Administrative Assistant
in March. In July, the company moved into its newly built
corporate headquarters in Margate. The building is over
2,500 square feet and includes offices, a showroom, and
a bookstore. This was a dream come true for Jim and Corinne.
In
September, Ramana and Christina were married on a beautiful
day between Hurricanes Ivan and Jeanne. Also in 2004, Mark
Edwards joined the ELS family and is the panhandle representative.
In 2008, Gabriel added a baby girl to his family and Ramana & Chrisitna had a baby boy.
in 2011, Steve Parker joined Earley Learning Systems to work the Tampa Bay area.
Also in 2011, Earley Learning Systems launched their new component to their website.
